Isle of Cats (7cm Box): Insert / Organizer

This gorgeous 12-piece insert has been meticulously designed to hold every component of Isle of Cats and all available expansions (except the Boat Pack): Isle of Cats: Base Game, Late Arrivals, Kittens + Beasts, Kickstarter Pack, Kickstarter Pack 2, Treasure Pack, Bag'o'Cats, Bag'o'Fish, Promo Packs 1–3.*

NOTE: Newer copies of Isle of Cats (2024) are packaged in a smaller game box. You must measure the height of your game box to ensure that you order the correct insert! Games purchased before 2024 will be the 10cm box. Games purchased in or after 2024 are likely to be the 7cm box. If you have the 10cm box, please see that listing on this store. (The 7cm insert is a redesign of the 10cm insert with two main differences: The extra boat boards do not fit in the 7cm box. These must be stored in the factory expansion box. The 7cm insert has a single Fish Tray, rather than two.)

The large card bin fits sleeved (60µm recommended) or unsleeved cards with individual storage for every lesson. Cards for 5–6 players are divided from regular components to allow for quick and easy setup. The Fish Tray will hold one set of large and small wooden fish. The Treasure Tray can be set within easy reach of all players. Tabbed compartments separate the extra treasures for 5–6 player games from the regular supply.

Additionally, there are bins for the large wooden cats and beasts, the cat tile bag, the three smaller bags of tiles (kittens, beasts, and events), a basket bin, and a miscellaneous bin for all other game components.

The insert has been 3D printed using the highest quality settings in two colors to easily identify storage compartments. All components (except the additional boat boards) fit in the 7cm box with less than 4cm of box lift, and the box can be stored in any position.

Big Box Option
The 10cm version of the insert (see the other listing) includes an option for the Big Box from City of Games. This option is for the completionist who needs to have every last thing that is available for Isle of Cats. It is essentially the 10cm insert along with 4 additional trays. You will need to purchase the Big Box from City of Games. The wooden insert that comes with the Big Box can be set aside (unfortunately, it is not possible to purchase the Big Box without this).

The Big Box insert will provide the following four benefits: 1) No box lift—the insert fills the box exactly to the top. 2) Storage bin for the plastic cats from the Miniature Pack—this is in addition to the existing storage for the large wooden cats. 3) Designated bins for all retired components—original treasures, fish tiles, and small wooden cats and beasts. 4) Satisfaction of having every last thing that exists for Isle of Cats in a single box!

Big Box Upgrade
Sadly, the 7cm insert cannot be upgraded since the interior dimensions of the box do not match the 10cm and Big Box. If you were planning to purchase the Big Box in the future, purchase it now along with the corresponding insert, because the 7cm insert has no upward compatibility with the Big Box.

* The 7cm box works with the large wooden cats from Bag'o'Cats. If you use the plastic cats from the Miniature Pack, you must purchase the upgraded Big Box set, which has room for everything—small wooden cats, large wooden cats, plastic cats, and extra boards from the Boat Pack.
