At long last the ultimate Spirit Island storage solution has arrived! This beautiful and highly functional three-color insert fits the base game and every expansion in two boxes—the original Spirit Island box and the Jagged Earth box.
It will accommodate the following: Spirit Island: Base Game, Branch & Claw, Jagged Earth, Feathers & Flame (Promo Packs 1 & 2), Nature Incarnate, Premium Token Packs 1 & 2, and the five spirits (thick gray board versions) and wooden tokens from Horizons of Spirit Island. In short, everything that officially exists for the premium edition of Spirit Island has a dedicated place.* Although the insert is designed for the premium wooden tokens, it is still fully compatible with the standard cardboard tokens.
But where the set truly shines is during setup and gameplay. Many of the storage trays are intended to be placed near the board within easy reach during gameplay. Power cards (unique, minor, and major) are separated by expansion with tabbed dividers, allowing players to easily choose which options to include at the start of the game. The fear cards are also separated by expansion, though the dividers can be removed and set aside if you so choose.
The invaders (explorers, towns, and cities) "arrive" at the island in two large ships—very functional, yet also delightfully thematic. The token and card trays for the invader board expansion snap together with magnets and can be used with or without the expansion board. Playing with 3 players? Then grab exactly 3 stacks of fear tokens from the perfectly sized fear bin. The invader reminder tiles are stored in a way that eliminates the need to sort through dozens of tiles when selecting an adversary. These are only a few of the quality of life features that are built into the set. The rest you will have to discover for yourself.
To aid with returning the trays to the proper box (there are 51 individually printed pieces!), each box has a dedicated color for its trays—either Natural White or Earth Brown. The ships and blight bin are the glaring exception to this. As they are a disruption of the island's natural harmony, they are printed in Evil Iron Gray.
All cards (except large adversary and scenario cards) may be sleeved or unsleeved—60µm max.
The amazing multicolor invaders are an unofficial upgrade that can be purchased from GizmosGames on Etsy. Check them out! This insert will fit one "Colony" of upgraded invaders (the same quantity that comes with Spirit Island + Jagged Earth).
