This elegant and beautiful insert for Stone Age has been designed with ease of use in mind. It accommodates the Base Game, The Expansion, Mammoth Herd, New Huts (included with The Expansion), and the Casino mini-expansion (two building tiles). This is everything official that exists for Stone Age.
At the core of the eight-piece set are the two large base trays, which, once placed in the game box, can be kept there. Six small trays (food, villagers, clay, stone, wood, and gold) can be lifted out easily and set alongside or on the game board, according to your preference. These trays reduce the time needed for setup and cleanup. The villager tray is partitioned, keeping the starting villagers separate from those that can be added as the game progresses. The resource trays can be used with the standard resources, or with third-party resources of your choice (as shown in the pictures).
Cards may be sleeved (60µm recommended) or unsleeved, with the cards and tiles for The Expansion stored separately. The Mammoth Herd tiles and cardboard figure also have dedicated storage spaces.
The board overlay for The Expansion and the five player mats have recessed locations at the top of the insert, as shown in the accompanying video. Finally, the game board and instructions perfectly fill the remaining space above the insert, making the game box stackable as well as storable in any position.
